Navigating the Information Revolution: The Promise and Perils of Big Data

On June 5, the Aspen Institute, in partnership with Intel, convened a discussion forum in Washington, D.C. engaging leaders from the Administration, Congress, private sector, media and academia for a broad conversation on the potential promise and peril of big data and the far-reaching policy, economic and societal implications of this “information revolution.” The event featured Kenneth Cukier, Data Editor of The Economist and Co-author of Big Data: A Revolution That Will Transform How We Live, Work and Think.

The discussion was moderated by Charles Firestone, Executive Director of the Communications and Society Program for The Aspen Institute.
