Global Markets, American Jobs, and the Innovation Economy
On Friday, June 17, the first forum of the 2011 Aspen Institute Roundtable Series was held at The Aspen Institute in Washington, D.C. Focusing on the topic, “Global Markets, American Jobs, and the Innovation Economy,” participants and featured guest Ambassador Ron Kirk, U.S. Trade Representative, discussed how best to access the promise of global markets, the connection between open markets and the innovation economy, and the priority of saving and creating American jobs as we pursue these aims. The discussion was moderated by Margaret Warner, Senior Correspondent with PBS NewsHour.
